And so, I finally get to meet that Blue Snover from SPPf! Awesome! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! (Yeah, I include that line EVERY TIME I reply to a welcome thread. I've been doing that for almost a year now.) Anyway, you can call me Tobi. (Normally, the Wheeeeee appears right after this line, but I've been trying out new variations recently.) About the blogging feature that everyone's been talking about, you can set it up by going to the User Controls screen. To go there, just click on "Preferences" which is found at the top of the page. (I'm just stating this because I've been here for almost a year, and it's only now that I found out that you can go to the UC screen by clicking "Preferences". Yeah, I feel like an idiot right now.) Anyway, I really hope you'll enjoy your stay here in PLF. Oh, and help out in the PLF community in anyway you can. |

Okay, well maybe I didn't let my point come across in the most graceful manner, but I was being serious. It's just that I'd expect an administrator to put more thought into each "hello" post instead of making some kind of speech that can be reused again (and perhaps) again. Maybe it's just my way of thinking, but I'd rather get no reply from someone in such authority, if the alternative was a written speech. I just find it a bit disrespectful. (wait, that's right, I'm not an admin/mod/etc who's of importance, I'm just a nobody regular member. *rollseyes*) |

I see your point but I really don't think that Hollow Abyss was meaning to disrespect anyone. He's probably got a lot of things on his mind, being that he's an administrator of such an active forum, and has way more things to care about than how to write a completely new welcome message every single time. One a side note, seeing this forum as it is today, he probably placed a great deal of effort into creating this community. We should all be blessed to even be here but instead there are comments like "...Wow, my respect for Hollow Abyss has really dropped..." left for him to read. I wouldn't be surprised if Hollow Abyss stops replying to welcome reads after this. |
