I'm just thinking what if we held a forums championships we Pokemon battle with other forums.Are you interested in that?If yes,i know a forum to battle. |

For me, this is actually interesting. I'd battle, but my team isn't ready. I'm still working on 2 more Pokemon. Wait. Are you talking about battling via Wi-Fi or via Shoddy Battle? |

I don't know what the Shoddy Battle thing is, but I can use Wi-Fi to do these battles. Anyway, this seems like a really great idea. I've wanted to battle someone on the forums, but so far, I haven't gotten any Friend Codes. At the moment, my team is already ready so as soon as I can exchange Friend Codes, I'll be able to battle! |

Apart from Serebii, this is the only Pokémon forum I know, and PLF is the only Pokémon forum I'm an active member on. I don't really mind who the oponent is or what forum he/she is on, but I am defiantly interested in battling others on forums! |

It seems like a great idea! The only problem is to gather a decent amount of people that can participate. They must have wifi connection as well as an eligible team. |

If you want to win then don't face Smogon. Although it's not like they'd even consider accepting a challenge from such an obscure forum as this one. I might be willing to participate if the opponent is another obscure forum, not some big-name place like Smogon or SPPf. It's been months since I've battled on Wi-Fi, however... oh and ShoddyBattle is not an option for me at this time. |

@Icosahedron: 1) Welcome back! 2) I go on Smogon a number of times for their articles. Yes, I read them. Just because I'm from a small forum doesn't mean I can't beat a Smogonite. But in terms of practice, yeah, they'll definitely beat me up. They've had loads of practice with their access to Shoddy. 3) Speaking of Shoddy... It sounds like you can't use your Shoddy application on your pc. If that were the case, then you aren't alone. I tried downloading a Shoddy client program a couple of weeks ago, and the thing didn't work. I heard the same thing happened to someone on The Aurora Gate Forums... |

I'm not understanding anything about this ShoddyBattle thing. Wi-Fi is the one and only way I can connect my Nintendo DS/Wii to the Internet and battle others. Apperently, people are talking about seeing how good their team or other teams are. If this is for showing how good of a player I am, I'm not exactly too interested. I battle purely for fun so I don't put much effort in making and raising teams or in my battle stradegy, which doesn't make me a good person to represent battle skill. |

It's a battle simulator for your computer where you can build a team in about 10mins and battle people online. You can't hook your DS/Wii up to it in any way, it's more an alternative for people who don't have wifi. |

Nah. It doesn't matter how you access the internet as long as you can access it since you'll be downloading it onto your pc. |

Shoddy seems like something I definitely want to look into. Maybe set up a Shoddy Server for PLF? It might attract competitive battlers. |

This probably won't matter to you since most of you arn't in the UK, but shoddy battle servers cannot be run from outside the USA for some reason. |

I'm sure ppl on TAG would enjoy having a cross forum tourney with you guys on either Shoddy or Wifi. Although we don't have our own server either so it would have to be on the smogon server or another big one |

Agreed. I personally do not have the time to set up a server and since I pretty much fail with anything MySQL related, it doesn't help either.

I like the idea of this, but the only way I know of to connect to the Internet is via Wi-Fi. Every other method metioned here seems to complex for me to understand. |
