Seel Posts: 97 Group: Members Member #18 Joined: Oct 4, 2008	In line with SPPf's daily conversation thread, this can be used as a place to just talk and discuss basically anything you wish! Mostly this will be used as an outlet for you to let others know what's going on in your life, what you think about things (but not politics/religion! Save that for the debate section), etc. How this works is, people will answer others' questions, then post a question of their own in bold. I'll start off. Does anybody here have to read some 50 kg tome for any of their classes? If not, which books have you had to read for school in the past that you really hated? I have to read Don Quixote, all delicious 930 pages of it. >_> It's looking to be a very bleak October for me.... I mean, it's not that I don't mind reading it, it's a good story after all (and way easier to understand than some of the other books I've had to read before, like Charles Dickens' A Tale of Two Cities), but it's long. As in, looooooooonnnnnnng. Blah.

With stupid punctuation things that I have to do after every quote in the story Is anyone training to become a lifeguard here? Or Are you already A lifeguard? Im currently doing Bronze med -- Most of you don't know what that is because I think it's different in the states and I live in Canada. Its the first step to becoming a lifeguard

By that logic, I may end up doing something related to lifeguarding, although probably not, since I don't like swimming at all. Mac or Windows (or Linux/other OS)? This question was bound to pop up some time or other. Anyways I prefer using a Mac at the moment, partly because I have one (and thus am more used to toggling stuff around with it) and partly because they just look cooler in my opinion. =P Not to mention, Macs seem to freeze less than Windows. Their only drawback is that their options are relatively limited as far as software and games are concerned, but that's what I have a DS for. ^_^ POST MOAR PPL. Seriously, if you want more members we have to show that we're actually active ourselves. Nobody wants to join a dead forum. =P

Windows, period. I have used Windows for as long as I could remember. Mac computers, not talking about the system anymore, are faulty. Of all computer companies, Apple has received the most complaints because Macs have very weak systems. Computers with Windows are the way to go especially money-wise. I work with computers that require sky-high specs. Lets say an Apple Computer running on Mac and an HP computer running on Windows, both of them have the same specs. The Mac will cost up to 2000 dollars more. I have always used Windows, and now I use Vista. I don't have a single complaint. I have a desktop Mac computer, and I love it. Don't get me wrong, windows is great, it's easy to use and everything, but I have found that my internet on my mac is extremely fast. The only complaint I USED to have (Since I don't play Online RPG's anymore) is that Macs are not for gaming But I don't care too much I think this is a good discussion topic so I'm gonna keep it

I've been using Windows since I've started using computers. I've gone from so many operating systems and they get better every time. From Windows 98 to Vista. I've used a Mac once a few years back and I weren't very impressed. It paled in comparison to Windows. Does anyone here hate learning another language in school as much as I do?

Oh my God Yes! I hate learning new languages. I also hate that I have some classes that are in French, like geography and others. I would be acing those classes if they were in english!

I've never been afraid of exams. I mean, sure, I worry a tad bit about whether or not I'm fully prepared or not but that worry is gone once I sit down and take the exam. When I know I've done terribe, then I start to worry! Other than that, an exam day is just another day at school. Does anyone here generally despise everyone around them apart from their friends?

Yes & Yes, I mean who would want to re-study all of your lessons, especially Biology, I fell asleep once, when I studied for Bio in the afternoon, and I usually cram until 12:30, cuz I procrastinate. And when you're procrastinting,I feel uneasyand think: what if I forget, is this included? ~~is hotdog really from dogs?~~ Pops up in my head, and then Aaaaah, this is easy, no need to worry feeling, goes back in, I'm like debating with myself, it's like I want to but dont Does anyone here generally despise everyone around them apart from their friends? If not, which books have you had to read for school in the past that you really hated? I took a Psychology class last year... no kidding, the book itself was 2,000 pages. I want to weigh it... ooh, hang on! goes to weigh it ... hmm, almost 10 pounds. X_____X;; The class itself was torture. Well, I did learn some interesting stuff, but there was far too much science involved for my tastes. hates math & science Mac or Windows (or Linux/other OS)? I has a purtiful Mac OSX Tiger ^_____^ Had it for... I think a year now... and she runs beautifully ^^ SO glad I left PC's... Does anyone here hate learning another language in school as much as I do? I love languages!!! I'm serious, I learned English, French and Japanese so far. I think I wanna learn Italian next... it sounds so beautiful ^____^ Are you bored/afraid of the exams? I just had a mid-term yesterday... and I was just a little freaked out ^^; I study beforehand, and feel somewhat confident... but I actually don't start getting worried until I reach the school. Then I sit in the class, heart hammering away, until I receive a copy of the test. Does anyone here generally despise everyone around them apart from their friends? Wow, VTP, that's heavy... T_T Nah, I'm not really a hateful person. Sure I can hold a grudge for years, but I don't feel anything, really, toward the general public.

I'd rather avoid people if I can but if someone is friendly enough, I can talk to them.

I couldn't possibly hate someone if I don't know him/her. But there's always a chance =P Does anyone here procrastinate on their homework to play Pokémon games? Not Pokemon games, I've stopped playing Pokemon for a while now. But for many other things. Seriously, I'm sitting for an exam tomorrow and here I'm still ~~happily~~ posting away DX Sometimes I played ToP when I'm supposed to study, too. Help~!
