Deleted User	I never knew how to play either. I did collect them, though. Mostly the holographic cards, but pretty much anyone I didn't have. That was before the Yu-gi-oh! cards TOOK OVER MY LIFE though lol.

Deleted User	I used to collect those cards a lot when I was younger. Remember the really old-skool cards featuring the original 151? I collected all of them, with the exception of Jolteon, Dragonair, Wigglytuff & Dugtrio ^__^v I never even learned how to play, I just loved Pokémon that much. I still have them, actually. They're bound in an album ^^ I know, I'm such a nerd. Also, I used to collect Yu-Gi-Oh cards, including the promo cards from the movie ^_^ I think I have 2 or 3 Blue Eyes White Dragons... it's just a shame I never owned a Red Eyes Black Dragon D:

We played each other a lot. We stopped collecting them after the second gen since we were gradually gaining more interest in DBZ then Pokemon at that time. During a clear out of our room, we decided to throw them away but we kept the rare ones. Hopefully sometime in the near future, we'll sell them but until them, they're in a case atop of my wardrobe.

Y-you're not a nerd. -hides binder full of old school Pokemon cards in closet- Anyways, I used to collect them, until I was introduced to the video games, then there wasn't any real point especially since I never went to the tournaments. Made a few decks and I play with my sister now and then, but it's been a long time since I've bought an actual pack of cards (so long in fact that I only have as far as the Johto Pokemon). Spoken like a true nerd, I suppose. :/

Deleted User	No, no, of course not! ^_^ Yeah, I never bought many packs after the original 151. I've pretty much only got maybe 10-ish cards of Sinnoh Pokémon. I have some cool specialish cards, though, like 1st movie Dragonite, 2nd movie Mew, 3rd movie Entei, 5th movie Latias & Latios, whateverdangmovieitis Jirachi... I think that's it... sweatdrop Hurrah, for we are true nerds ^_^

Whenever I see a pack of Pokemon cards up for sale, I have this strange urge to buy them. I don't know why exactly, but it's there.

My first Booster Pack was from EX Holon Phantoms. My first Theme Deck was Storm Surge (Crystal Guardians). I chose it because I like Blastoise. For christmas, one of my friends game me a booster pack. One of the cards was a "Holon Research Tower" Stadium Card. A few days later, my other friend gave me a Crystal Guardians booster pack that had a Charizard Delta, a card that I could put in my deck since my deck had both Charmander Delta and Charmeleon Delta cards in it. The problem was I lacked Metal Energy cards needed for Charizard Delta's Metal Burn attack. But when I got home, I realized Holon Research Tower's effect on basic energy cards. I can now use Charizard Delta in my deck! My deck, which I have renamed "Hydro Surge," has always been my special deck since both my friends *unknowingly* helped my deck become stronger. I'll add more later when other people have replied to this thread. Currently, I've stopped dueling and collecting. It hurts the wallet. The places where TCG Leagues are held are way too far from where I live, and the nearest ones are held every Sunday. I also blame the Pokemon TCG DP Shift. The leagues are integrating the DP cards already. Besides, I still have to manage my Emerald and Pearl Versions. Edited by tobi-ksla, Nov 20 2008, 09:14 AM.

It seems that most people here lost interest after the second generation ( Pokemon overload :P ). I remember when got back into the TCG for about two months with the Delta Species. I have gained quite a few Delta Pokemon and including an EX Dustox. I believe I still have them somewhere.

But I still love 'em and guess I might start again some time in the future. Guess I'm not up with all the new additions, rules, etc, but it'd be nice to play once in a while. ^^ Still having few decks all ready to go. I have most of the 1'st and 2'nd gen cards and some 3'rd laying around few thousand pieces or so. :p Never really counted 'em.

Posts: 1,286 Group: Honored Staff Member #87 Joined: Feb 8, 2009	I used to collect them too but I never understood the rules and no-one in my house wants to play Pokémon either so that made me unable to play it at all. But, about a week ago, I found out my friend had Pokémon cards too, so we decided to bring our cards to school and play against each other. Since then, I've fully understood the rules (at least I think I do), we've been playing it almost every single lunch break and I've been trying to get new cards all the time. (Especially a Salamence and Luxray card! :))
