Pokemon Black and White Covers

Right! So we've been wondering about when the box cover legendaries would be revealed and I have the answer right here! Today for all days. Below (as you can see) are the box arts given to us by the Japanese website and also Pokemon.com so this is definitely real people! The two legends are Reshiram and Zekrom respectively and the colour of the Pokemon however does not suggest which box it is on - oh no! Instead Zekrom os on the cover of Pokemon White and Reshiram is on the cover of Pokemon Black!

So here we go:

Part Dragon Type

Both Pokemon have been confirmed to be part Dragon types but it is still unknown whether this is just the case for these creatures! Be sure to keep your browsers pointed to Pokemon websites over the upcoming few days as this news could litterally come out of anywhere!

These Aren't The Only Differences!

This is what some people might state is some of the biggest news to hit Pokemon yet. We normally have the legendaries and a few version exclusive Pokemon being the differences of the games however it has been stated that these two versions are going to have further differences outside the ones that we can already assume but to what extent it is exclusive we don't know!

Generation V Starters

As revealed in the June 2010 issue of CoroCoro, there are three new starter Pokémon. The grass snake Pokémon, Tsutarja (ツタージャ). The sea otter Pokémon, Mijumaru (ミジュマル). The fire pig Pokémon, Pokabu (ポカブ). All three Pokémon were previously shown as silhouettes on Pokémon Sunday. The evolutions of these Pokémon are unknown, however it is likely that they will be revealed in the coming months. All three starters can be seen here.

Zorua (ゾロア) & Zoroark (ゾロアーク)

Much like the three Generation V starters, Zoroark was shown as a silhouette on Pokémon Sunday. It was later revealed alongside it's pre-evolution, Zorua, in the March 2010 issue of CoroCoro. Zorua and Zoroark are both dark-type Pokémon and both share the same ability, illusion. Zorua is a dark fox Pokémon, it's evolution is an illusory fox Pokémon. Only two of Zoroark's moves are known, Trickery (イカサマ) and Claw Sharpen (つめとぎ). Unlike most Pokémon, Zoroark requires a different method of catching. When one of the three shiny legendary beasts from the thirteenth movie giveaways is transferred to Black and White it activates an event where Zoroark appears, however it will take the appearance of the legendary beast you traded over.

Generation V's region, Isshu (イッシュ地方)

Not much is known about Isshu at the moment, however it has been said that Isshu is located far away from all previous regions (Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh.) Much like previous regions, Isshu has a wide assortment of small towns and big cities. Hiun City (as seen here) is one of the many cities in the Isshu region. As seen in the images that have been released as of now, the city features a large port and many tall buildings.

Generation V Playable Characters

As always, a new pair of playable characters are available. This time however, the payable characters are much older than previous ones. Both characters have some sort of wrist device, perhaps the successor to the PokéNav, Pokétch and the Pokégear. Both characters can be seen here.
